Rauch is building a community where everyone belongs.

Hours of Operation: Office open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; client services available 24/7
Location: Offices at 845 Park Place., New Albany, IN; programming at Hawthorn Glen in Charlestown, IN, individual's home or apartment, or family's home
Population Served: Adults with developmental disabilities
Services Provided: Hours of participation are determined individually based on Individual Support Plan. Specific services include housing assistance and residential support, daily living skills, beneficiary services, recreational activities, wellness coordination, and transportation
Payer Sources: Medicaid Community Integration & Habitation (CIH) Waiver, Participant Assistance & Care (PAC), CHIO, Respite, or Family Supports Waiver (FSW)
Referral Sources: Case Managers, Behavior Specialists, Day Programs, family, other community members

Community Living provides continuous support for clients on Medicaid Waivers who choose to live on their own. Rauch can help clients find a home in their income range, offer financial guidance, teach daily living skills, provide transportation, and help plan recreational activities. Staff provides clients with professional and compassionate support.

Supported Living- supports individuals with disabilities in their home through full or part-time staff assistance.  Staff teach daily living skills, provide personal assistance, help plan recreational activities, and provide transportation and financial guidance.

Respite Care- provides a break to the full-time caregiver of an individual with special needs.  It allows the caregiver to relax and engage in other daily activities while attaining the peace of mind that their loved one is being well cared for.

Clients may live with a relative, in rental housing, or in Rauch-owned housing for persons with disabilities at Hawthorn Glen subdivision in Charlestown, Indiana. The Hawthorn Glen development features an accessible clubhouse, pool, and park. Clients enjoy being a part of the neighborhood as residents of Hawthorn Glen subdivision.

People with disabilities are valued members of the community, and through supported living services they can learn to actively participate in the community and live more independently.  Rauch Community Living services helps individuals with disabilities find a home in their income range, offers financial guidance, teaches daily living skills, provides transportation and helps plan recreational activities.

Clients who are eligible for this program must be on the Community Integration and Habilitation (CIH) Waiver.

Rauch's Community Living program is proud of the opportunities provided through its Residential program in Hawthorn Glen subdivision in Charlestown, Indiana. A total of 18 homes with capacity to serve 54 residents are available at Rauch's development.

We are accepting waiting list applications on an ongoing basis. Individuals on the waiting list are selected for the program based on a number of factors, including: availability of openings, length of time on the waiting list, and individual needs and circumstances.

Housing

Rauch owns 18 homes in Hawthorn Glen Neighborhood located in Charlestown, IN. Housing is working with the Community Living department to provide affordable and accessible housing for the benefit of adults with disabilities.
