Finding the right fit

Work Services Coordinator Theresa Berry said you never know who will be the right fit for Rauch Industries and who won’t until you try.

Some behaviors exhibited at home may make an individual seem unsuited for working; however, Theresa said sometimes these behaviors do not manifest in the workplace.

One such example is Deanna.

Theresa has known Deanna her entire life. Deanna’s dad was Theresa’s doctor when she was a child and then Theresa’s mom took care of Deanna when she was served by Blue River Services. Theresa herself also cared for Deanna at Quality Community Services. When Theresa saw Deanna at Rauch Industries, at first she didn’t think it would work.

“At home, she’s known for screaming and crying, but here…she works two days a week and rides the TARC3 bus here and back,” Theresa said. “And she enjoys working here. I consider that a success.”

Deanna has now worked here for over a year and says her favorite part is the actual job.

“I work every day Tuesdays and Thursdays,” she said. “(Favorite part) The bottles.”
